Tuesday, Sept. 17: We arrive to a bustle of activity. The garage door has been installed, the HVAC team is finishing up in the attic and placing the furnace in the mechanical room and Judd is making progress on cabinets and trimming windows. We make decisions on the built-ins in the breakfast area and it really starts to look finished! Charlie and I continue to plane the maple that is being used in the cabinets. We feel Judd's time is more valuable designing and constructing the cabinets than planing the wood. He is working on all the cabinets and vanities that will need doors so we can get the measurements and get them ordered as soon as possible. |

| We expect the people from the solid surface company that will be bidding on the bathroom vanities and shower walls on Wednesday but they never show up. Their office says they are on the way so we wait all day. No one shows up! We call the next morning and the only explanation is that everything is OK and they can come on Monday morning. We also meet with a hangar builder to get another bid. He should have a bid ready by next week. Charlie and I design and cut out the decorative posts for the arched window upstairs. We are pleased with the look and Judd says they will make good mockingbird perches! | |

We had planned to go back to Houston to pick up our son's
computer and take it to him in Austin but UPS let us down and we stayed
in Oklahoma helping Charlie's mom clean the garage and shop to get ready
for a big yard sale.
