Week 41 - November 18-22, 2002

Nov. 19: Charlie arrives in Houston from flying and we board the next flight to Oklahoma, no time to waste this week! We need to sand all the trim, clean up the wood scraps and vacuum to be ready for paint and stain next week. Judd informs us that he needs yet more maple planed to have enough for all the baseboards. The painter stops by to inform us that he is behind schedule on his current job and will probably not be ready until Dec. 2nd. The cabinet doors are delivered and this time they are the right style! We sort through all the doors and drawer fronts to separate those that will be stained cherry from those that will be left natural.

One of the advantages of having a trim carpenter on sight and working with us is that we can make many design decisions as we go along. Judd, Charlie and I spent some time working out the details for the newel post for the stairs. The rock layer finished the side and back area of the house and it really makes the house complete.
