Charlie's busy flying this week and then has two days of flight checks so I'm on my own to handle the details on the house. When I arrive on Sunday I take a quick look at the finished wood floor (it's beautiful!) and then promptly cover it with contractor's paper to keep it as clean as possible. Monday is a busy day with plumbers and electricians and Judd trying to keep up with my list of finishing details. I sand and finish some additional trim for the breakfast area. With the carpet scheduled for Thursday, the upstairs had to be cleaned and vacuumed and a mountain of cardboard boxes had accumulated from the flooring and light and plumbing fixtures. It took two pickup loads to clear away the mess!

The addition of the lighting fixtures was a wonderful addition but when I could flip a switch in the basement and the light came on, that was bliss! No more hauling extension cords and flood lights from room to room!
