Week 5 - March 11 - 15, 2002

March 12.....Mom went over to visit the site. She reported that there are several men working on setting the forms for the basement walls With any luck, and no rain, the walls should be poured by the end of the week.

Of course, in the Oklahoma area, they sometimes have tornadoes, so every house needs a "safe room". In our case, it is located in the basement by the fireplace chimney. The size is about 6' by 6'. The walls are 6" thick the ceiling is 6" thick and has a steel door installed. The function of the "safe room" is not to keep you from getting blown away, but to protect you from flying debris. Hope we never really need it, but it will be nice to know it is there.

March 15...hello everyone this is Chris. Although this is my first post to this page, I have been running a lot of 'behind the scenes' web design.  Anyway, here are a ton of pictures from the last couple of days just to keep everyone up to date.

It is my understanding that the actual concrete pouring has begun on the house.  By the looks of it, this is a major process.  Enjoy the pics and check back often!  Oh yeah...these pictures are in no particular order.
