The day we have been waiting for. Time to invite people over! Jan finished cleaning. Judd and I finished the door hardware. We even had a little time to clean up some of the wood on the outside of the house. Unfortunately, there is still quite a pile of dirt in the front yard, but that is O.K. The open house went from 3:00 to 7:00. At last count, 60 friends, neighbors and subcontractors showed up.

We were particularly happy that our new friends from Stillwell (Walt and Linda Smith) who were so inspirational came by. Also, we got to finally meet a couple (Scott and Lisa) who had seen this internet site and are just starting to build the same house in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They brought her parents along to see the house. Lots of pictures were taken and it reminded us of when we visited Tom Wilhelmsen and Walt and Linda Smith's houses while we were in the construction planning phase. We hope the Popes have as good a building experience as we did.

Overall, the party was a success and we were glad to meet lots of neighbors and see several friends drop by from the surrounding areas. Thanks to everyone for coming by.
