Things To Do
The following is a list of things that need to done in and around the building. Some are projects appropriate only for a work day when several are present to help. Some can be done by an individual, a family, or a couple of families working together. If you would like to help by taking responsibility for one of the projects, there is a list of these in the foyer so that you can sign up beside your chosen project. See Wally for supplies if needed for the project you chose. Work days are scheduled for May 22 and June 12 (Saturdays) to work on the remaining projects.

1. Install concrete stops in the parking lot
2. Paint parking lot slots
3. Paint new handicap spots
4. Plant landscaping shrubs/plants
5. Refinish the foyer furniture (podium and attached podium)
6. Install additional smoke detectors in bathrooms  
7. Paint classes - high-gloss
8. Paint auditorium including sink area - semi-gloss
9. General clean up of annex and any other class that needs it
10. Clean up study and paint
11. Shorten pews
12. Clean pews
14. Refinish nursery doors
15. Install curtain in nursery
16. Replace or paint screen behind communion table
17. Clean and paint baptistry area
18. Organize baptismal garments, towels. Clean and paint dressing room.

Note to teachers: Please remove unused material posted on the walls of your classroom in order to facilitate painting. Any other material in the classroom that is no longer used should also be removed. If in doubt about any material, consult with Doug Bernard, our deacon in charge of the classes.

Directions to the community center: From Hwy 79, turn on Main Street (Gabriel/JordanChev/Olds/ Cad is on the corner of 79 & Main) and go toward downtown Henderson. As you approach downtown, High Street is one block before the first signal light, turn left (south) on High Street. High Street makes one turn to the left then back to the right. The community center is several blocks down High Street, on the left.

Genia Rice¹s mother, Ruby Jones, passed away last Wednesday. She will be buried Monday in Longview, Texas . . . The men are encouraged to meet tonight after evening assembly for the second discussion class on the family. The period will be limited to about thirty minutes. We had some good and interesting comments the first time. Come if you can! . . .  Note to the men who make announcements: The elders request that you simply make allusion to the announcements already found in the bulletin (rather than restating them) with any updates that may be appropriate. This will avoid redundancy and conserve more time for worship . . . Our meeting with Ross Triplett begins June 20.
