"Difficulties In The Theory Of Evolution"
Truth has nothing to fear from honest investigation. Contrary to what some textbooks and scientists say, the truth is that evolution is not a fact, but a theory. Some renowned scientists are honest enough to admit this. The evidence from anthropology, paleontology, comparative anatomy, biology, and physics not only fail to prove evolution to be a fact, but present it with a number of difficulties.

Anthropology

The "Neanderthal man," a supposed "missing link," was found to have arthritis! The "Java man" is a composite‹it cannot be ascertained the pieces came from the same man and are of disputed authenticity. The "Heidelberg Man" is constructed from one jawbone, and jawbones resembling it in many details have been found in modern human remains! Fossils of modern man have been found in Pliocene strata (15 million years old according to evolutionists)‹far too early for the evolutionary theory.
Those who listen to the Bible know where man came from, and are aware he has the unique dignity of being made in the image of God. (Gen. 1:1,26)

Paleontology

The fossil record, which, according to evolutionary theory, should be full of transitional forms representing evolutionary change, is plagued with clear and undeniable absence of these. Moreover, fossils of "modern" plant life have been found in strata that does not fit the evolutionary time scale and provide evidence that these plants have always been these plants rather than evolving from lower forms. The Bible says God designed living things to produce "after their kind" (Gen. 1:11,12,21,24, 25), and the fossil record supports that age old revelation.

Comparative Anatomy

Lining up living creatures who are similar and assuming on the bases of that similarity that they either came from one another or are closely related on the evolutionary tree is arbitrary and variable. Moreover, the differences are arbitrarily ignored. Similarities may indicate origin from the same Mind rather than evolutionary relationship. Those who believe the Bible know one God made all things. (Neh. 9:6)

Biology

Transmutation (mutations causing new groups of animals) has not been demonstrated. The Law of Biogenesis proves life only comes from life. Mutations, the mechanism of evolution, are observed to have an adverse effect rather than creative. Life comes from God (Acts 17:24-25) and biology provides no help, but rather additional difficulties to the evolutionist.

Physics

Radioactive dating methods, such as C-14 and uranium decay rest on unproven assumptions and in certain test cases have proven inaccurate. The second law of thermodynamics harmonizes with Scriptureıs testimony that the created world is wearing out‹"becoming old as a garment" (Heb. 1:11).

"Acts & Facts" is free, often has excellent information, but you will have to beware of denominational doctrine occasionally (e.g. premillennialism). "Reason & Revelation" is written by members of churches of Christ and costs $8 a year. It, too, has excellent information. For "Acts & Facts," write, Institute For Creation Re-search, P.O.
