HOUSTON HOCKEY'S

Game #2 Report (7/24/00)

RANGERS OVER ICE DOGS 9-2

Report - The Ice Dogs enjoyed the first ever franchise lead as Patrick Andersson delivered a nice goal midway through the first.   Unfortunately, the Rangers answered within seconds to tie and then again to take the lead 2-1.  First gamer, Tony Valdavia delivered in the second period to bring the Dogs back 4 - 2.  The Rangers were able to find the center lanes open in the third and popped in 5 unanswered goals to finish to game.

All in all, game 2 was better played as new line configs (and it being the second ever game played as a team) showed some improvements.  Management expects each game to be an improvement over the last.  A future first-win will milestone the team's ability of having reached a play-level of learning to work and talk together on the ice.

Stay tuned for Game #3 - July 31st !
