Lunar Certificate Images

I took all these images during the completion of my Lunar Certificate Program. I tried to capture at least one image every day or so; thus allowing you to see the same objects and features that I was finding. The compressed images here are not as good as what I saw, but these were my first attempts at lunar imaging.

All of these images were taken afocally using: 114mm Newtonian f9 @ 50x, Sony DSC-S70 Camera with Scopetronix digi-T adapter and Celestron Moon Filter ( except the 11_27 image).

Most were shot using f2.0 @ 1/30 sec exposure, but you can see that I was experimenting with various settings on the Camera and the zoom. Overall, I shot about 100 images and this is a small selection.

At the time, I was concentrating on trying to get images to support my Lunar Certification effort and not on trying to create a photo gallery, so you can see that the quality and orientation vary significantly.

During the later stages, I was using much higher resolution than the earlier shots. Most of the images are just as they were taken, but I did adjust the brightness and/or contrast on a couple that were too dark or too light.
